About: Ken Robison, SpEd Forms Customer Advocate, San Diego

Ken has participated on the San Diego County Forms Committee for districts using SpEd Forms since 2005, first as the Sweetwater representative and now, since retiring in 2009, as the SpEd Forms Customer Advocate.

Education
Ken received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1970 and a master's degree in psychology from California State University, Northbridge in 1973. He also holds licenses in administrative services, educational psychology, bilingual assessment and counseling.

Professional Experience
Ken started his career in education as a School Psychologist in La Mesa-Spring Valley Elementary District in 1973 and moved to Sweetwater as a Bilingual Psychologist in 1975. Between 1975 and 2005, Ken was responsible for completing Sweetwater's State and Federal reporting for Special Education and served as the department's link with the Data Processing/ IT Department. In addition to CASEMIS and OCR (Office of Civil Rights) reports, he was responsible to the Special Education Directors for compliance and other reports required by other District departments. For more than 10 years, Ken also helped complete CASEMIS reporting for three of the County's Selpas. From 1999-2009, Ken was the Site Administrator for Fifth Avenue Academy which served as a bridge for students at risk of being sent out to NPS programs. Ken was directly involved in the selection of SpEd Forms as the district's special education management system and computerized IEP writer. He was responsible for training the approximately 500 users including teaching, support, clerical and non-public school staff.

Personal Notes
Ken grew up in Pacific Beach in Sand Diego County where he developed a life-long love of the ocean. An avid sailor, he shares ownership of a Catalina 36 with his brother and enjoys sailing with friends on San Diego Bay and off the Coast of Southern California. He and his wife, Sharon, who is also retired, live in Bonita where they are busy remodeling their kitchen, spending time with friends, and working to restore the yard they neglected for the last 20 years while raising their two children, Jacob and Kelly.
