Introducing... Peg Ferguson
Peg Ferguson started working to train staff in her home school district in Duluth on SpEd Forms about ten years ago as a Teacher on Special Assignment. In 2010, however, Peg joined the SpEd Forms Leadership Committee.

Education
Margaret “Peg” Ferguson earned a Master’s of Education degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Special Education from St. Cloud State University. She also completed all of the coursework for a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, also from SCSU. During her coursework, Peg earned a Minnesota teaching license of Moderate to Severe Mentally Handicapped.

Professional Experience
Peg started her professional career in the mid-1970s as a behavior analyst and special education teacher in the Independent School District #181 in Brainerd, Minnesota. In 1982, she moved to the Minnesota Learning Center, also in Brainerd, as a behavior analyst III, facilitator of reentry for students, as well as the coordinator for interns. For the past twenty-five years, Peg has worked in the Independent School District #709 in Duluth and has held numerous positions, including long-term substitute teacher, homebound teacher, and as an autism specialist. Currently, Peg serves as an autism resource specialist/behavior analyst for the district. Peg has taken an active leadership role in the Minnesota Association for Behavior Analysis since 1979 when she served as the editor of the organization’s newsletter (1979-87). She also served as the organization’s Secretary (1980-84) and President (1985-86). In addition, between 1986 and 1997, Peg was the editor of the Midwest Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy’s newsletter. Peg is a member of the Minnesota Autism Network and the Autism Society of America.

Outside of work, Peg enjoys gardening, sewing, and reading.
