How do I set up Internet Explorer?

Instructions for Windows users (Recommended: Internet Explorer)
  • Download the latest version of Internet Explorer at: www.microsoft.com
  • Step 1: Turn off cacheing:

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Use the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".
    3. In the "Browsing History" section, click "Settings".
    4. Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages", click "Every time I visit the webpage".
    5. Click "OK".

    Step 2: Printing setup

    1. From Internet Explorer's "Menu bar", click "File" and choose "Page Setup".
    2. HINT: If you have chosen not to have the "Menu bar" appear on Interenet Explorer, then you can navigate to the "Page Setup" dialog box by clicking the down arrow on the right of the "Printer" icon in the main browser window, and then click "Page Setup."
      (To show the "Menu bar", right-click on the tool bar area, and ensure "Menu bar" is checked. You will then see the File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools and Help options).
    3. Make sure the "Print Background Colors and Images" check box is checked.
    4. Set all the Header and Footer fields to "Empty".
    5. In the "Margins" section, change all margins to "0.5".
    6. Click "Ok".

    HINT: If you do not enable the option for printing background images, the "DRAFT" image will not appear in the background of your printed forms when the "DRAFT" option has been chosen.
