1/4/09 Recent improvements

Please find a summary of improvements to SpEd Forms following.
The improvements have been posted to all SpEd Forms servers.

Administrators:

1. An option has been added to "SpEd Forms Customizations" to allow districts to ignore validation for interim IEPs.

2. A link to the (Special Education) "Data Sheet" has been added to the (administrative) "Student List".

3. "Go to…" menus have been updated to accommodate more navigation to administrative menus.

MA Forms:

1. On the criteria of the "Create/Edit Batch Files" page, when users choose to "Show" a number of records other than 50, this selection is retained even after saving, navigating or refreshing the page.

2. When using the Select all, Deselect all, Mark all or Unmark all features on the "Create/Edit Batch Files" page, all records are now changed (prior to this change, only records on the current page were affected).

3. The MA Student Billing screen has been updated so that Secondary Insurance information is available at all times.

4. All fields (including initials) are now duplicated when a user either duplicates an activity on a PCA log or duplicates an entire PCA log.

5. On section 3 of the MA Parental Consent print page, "Initial below, all the…" has been changed to "Check below, all the…".

IEP:

1. The IEP validation will no longer consider ESY services.

2. For those using the combined IEP/IIIP, finalization of the IIIP is now available.

IIIP:

ER Forms:

1. The titles of a couple of ECSE templates have been changed. "Early Childhood Special Education Services (ECSE) 0-2.11" was changed to "Intervention Services (ECSE) 0-2.11" and "Intervention Services 3-6.11" was changed to "Intervention Services (ECSE) 3-6.11".

2. Several reports came in regarding odd characters being displayed in Evaluation Reports that had been pasted in from other word processors. While SpEd Forms has taken measures to successfully replace the characters that have shown up for space bars, smart quotes, and many other special characters, users should use caution when pasting text from another program. These problematic characters have been removed from all existing Sped Forms templates, tests and criteria.

3. New "Test templates" have been made available to several categories of "SpEd Forms" test templates.

4. An additional popup warning will now be displayed when users click on the "Choose a New Evaluation Template" button and already have template installed. This is to warn the user that their current ER Template will be overwritten.

5. The "ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS for SLD" section has been removed from the "Student Information" print page and now appears as an optional page on the ER Forms "Print Preview" menu.

Additional Forms:

1. The "excused team member" and "team meeting date" will now be printed when the "Agreement Regarding IEP Team Member Attendance" form is printed.

2. The "Child Outcomes Summary" forms can now be finalized.

3. The "Notice of Procedural Safeguards Parental Rights for Special Education (Private school)" is now available as a new form.

General:

1. Users will now get a warning if the MARSS ID is not entered for new students.

2. "School" drop down menus will only show a list of schools that are in the currently selected "District".
