Firefox vs Opera

This email pertains to Firefox and Opera users (typically Mac OS) only.

In our last email (http://www.spedforms.com/support/email090212.asp) we described programming changes made to help alleviate issues apparent in the latest version of Firefox. Our ongoing research into this issue has found these issues more apparent in the newer versions of Firefox (3.0.5 and 3.0.6) running on older machines or machines with a lot of programs running.

We have also found school districts who have continued using the Opera browser (http://www.opera.com) have are much more satisfied than school districts using Firefox. We support Firefox because it is the most popular alternative web browser for Mac OS users, however ongoing issues with Firefox have lead us to reinstate support for Opera as an alternative to Firefox.

Summary: If you are using Firefox, and are experiencing ongoing issues, we recommend you install Opera and use it to work with SpEd Forms. Setup instructions for Opera can be found at: http://www.spedforms.com/guide/1.asp
