Recent Improvements

Administrators:

1. The name of the drop down list now appears on the print page when a list is printed from the "Edit Drop Down List" page.

2. Changes have been made to some of the Administration Menus. "Preferences" has been re-labeled to "Organization" and SELPA, Districts and Schools has been moved to this "Organization" menu. In this new "Organization" menu, "SpEd Forms customizations" has been re-labeled to "Preferences".

3. The fields in the "Import Student Basic File" import have been updated to reflect new CASEMIS requirements.

4. A "Description" text box has been added to the "Select tables and fields" and "Write SQL Statements" pages of Custom Reports. If entered, this "Description" is displayed toward the top of that "Custom Report".

5. On the "Administrative Overview", the "Case Manager" has been added to both columns and a search box has been added so that district administrators can search by school and super/SELPA administrators can search by district and school.

Service Plans (IEP, ISP, IFSP & Interim Placement):

1. A validation issue has been corrected regarding the SPECIAL EDUCATION ENTRY DATE.

2. The warning: "Since the student is at least in grade 12 you must indicate participation in STAR" will no longer appear for kindergarten and preschool students.

3. The validation for CAPA, CAHSEE and STAR Participation has been updated so that students in grades 12 and 13 will be able to pass validation while remaining exempt from participation. In CAPA and CAHSEE, validation will be allowed for students in grade 1 with an IEP date later than April 1st and in STAR Participation, the grades for CMA Writing were changed from (grades 3 to 8) to (grades 4 and 7 only).

4. A new form has been added to the IEP Menu. The "Teacher IEP Notification" summarizes information from several pages of the IEP.

5. For STAR Participation on the Special Factors page, the general accommodations and modifications drop down lists have been split into separate lists for each subject.

6. An issue has been resolved that prevented users from validating or exiting students without an IEP date.

7. When"Amendment" is checked on the first page of the IEP, the "Last IEP" date is rolled over to the "IEP Date" field, and the last finalized IEP date is rolled over into the "Last IEP" date field. These changes are reversed when the "Amendment" field is unchecked.

8. The "Individualized Service Plan" has been updated.

9. The "Purpose of Meeting" has been added to the drop down list of finalized IEPs on the "Progress Report"

Goal Bank:

1. SEACO Goals have been added to the goal bank. To search for SEACO goals select "SEACO" on the "Goal Bank" search screen.

504 Plan:

1. Students in the 504 Plan will now be considered as "active" students.

Additional Forms:

1. An English and Spanish translation of the "Notice of Non-Graduation" has been added to the Forms Menu.

2. The "Graduation Notification" has been updated and a Spanish translation has been added to the Forms Menu.

3. An English and Spanish translation of the "Certificate of Completion Notification" has been added to the Forms Menu.

4. On the "Evaluation Plan", a misspelling of the word: "Mathematics" has been corrected in "Academic Achievement - These tests measure reading, spelling, mathematics,...".

5. "Evaluation Notice", "Notice of Proposed Action" and "Notice of Team Meeting" have been added as choices in "Go to..." menu when working on these forms.

6. The "Interim Placement" can now serve as a "SELPA Transfer" form.

7. The "Go to..." for the "Notice of Proposed Action", "Evaluation Plan" and "Notice of an IEP Meeting" has been updated.

8. On the "Extended School Year", reference to the SSID has been changed to the CSIS ID.

9. Finalization has been added to the "Behavioral Emergency Report".

10. For the "Graduation Notification", "Certification of Completion Notification" and "Notice of Non-Graduation", the school will now be displayed toward the bottom of the page if the school is a charter school.

General:

1. A print page is now available for individual lists of the "Edit drop down lists" interface under "Your setup".

2. On the "Work with students" page, a new feature allows users to order the column by clicking on any heading in the existing column.

3. The "Forms Menu" has been reorganized as per Hope Michel.
