SpEd Forms Support Groups
Did you know that you can become a SpEd Forms expert in less time than it takes most freshman to write "I will not talk in class" 50 times on the chalkboard? Our next SpEd Forms support group is coming!
Support Group dates and locations:
Marshall, January 24, 2008-Only a.m. Administrator Workshop
Led by Shane Dennis, the lead developer of SpEd Forms since 1996, these support groups are open to all Minnesota school districts and are a hands-on way to freshen your skills or learn new techniques. These learning opportunities are targeted to any one who uses SpEd Forms and would like to learn more about using and/or administering SpEd Forms.
Administrator Support Group
8:30 am - 11:30 am Limited to 20 attendees
This support group is designed for SpEd Forms administrators. Attendees will learn more about:
Site configuration, preferences and customizations.
Managing permissions for everybody from paraprofessionals to principals.
The most common questions asked by teachers when they start using SpEd Forms.
The data entry areas that most affect your ability to collect clean data from SpEd Forms.
Managing active and inactive student records and their histories.
Importing data into SpEd Forms and exporting data out of SpEd Forms.
Creating and saving custom administrative reports.
SIF Implementation.
The last hour of the support group is an open question and answer session with Shane. It is an opportunity for SpEd Forms Administrators to learn from fellow SpEd Forms Administrators and to contribute to the direction of SpEd Forms.
Teacher Support Group
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Limited to 20 attendees
This support group is designed for special education staff who use SpEd Forms to complete due process forms. Attendees will learn more about:
Completing and customizing your SpEd Forms setup.
Adding and exiting students.
Sharing student information with local and remote SpEd Forms users.
Working with student information. Focus will be the Evaluation Report and expanded IEP.
Printing forms.
Finalizing forms and managing student history.
Frequently asked questions.
The last half hour of the support group is an opportunity for teachers to share their SpEd Forms questions with teachers from other districts. Shane will be listening carefully to teacher feedback and suggestions.
