Mark Oehrlein – Information Analyst


Mark Oehrlein

Mark has been a member of SpEd Forms leadership team since 2009. Mark is responsible for critical infrastructure, data analysis and development.  He maintains the servers and databases including backups, imports and data recovery. Mark has been known to jump in and fix support requests, but his primary focus is new development.


Mark attended the St Cloud Business College, St Cloud State University and Metro State University. Mark’s focus was Quantitative Methods and Information Systems (QMIS) with heavy emphasis on programming and software design.

Professional Experience

Mark has worked for powerhouse computing companies such as Computer Associates in software engineering and project management roles and for several Fortune 100 companies in a consulting and contract programming role. However, most of his career has been working in educational settings. He has worked for a private college, as technology coordinator for a small school district and as a technologist for a large special education cooperative.

Personal Notes

Born in St. Cloud, Mark is the oldest of five children born to Henry and Marilyn. He was in a drum and bugle corps, and played the French horn and the mellophone in High School.

Mark is engaged to his fiancée, Kim.  He has two daughters, Amanda and Carissa. Amanda has a PhD in Chemistry and is employed at 3M. Carissa has a Psychology degree from St Cloud State and is currently employed at Granite Tops in Cold Spring. Mark always wanted to be an astronaut, and since he hasn’t grown up yet, he figures he still has a shot.

Mark has a 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo, 2nd-degree black belt in Kumdo (Korean sword fighting) and a 1st-degree black belt in Hapkito (Korean Judo).  He also has a love for live theater and spends much of his free time working and performing in community theater.
